Ledger not connecting with IconEx

Hi.

So since yesterday my Ledger cannot connect to ICONex.

The Ledger and the apps are updated, changed the ledger cable, still won’t work. Wallet is used with Chrome.

A set of questions that go through my mind:
Does anyone have this problem?
Is there a verified and safe solution for this?
Is this connection problem known to devs of ICONex?

Hey, I'll try to help as best I can! Few things you can try are:

Uninstall ICONex, then reinstall it https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/iconex/flpiciilemghbmfalicajoolhkkenfel?hl=en
Use: https://www.myiconwallet.com/
Use: https://app.balanced.network/

Try to connect your Ledger through those links and report back if any work for you.

I‘ve tried the reinstall method, didn’t help. Hope they solve the issue, I’m quite used to their wallet.

Ledger works fine with balanced app.

I’ll try myiconwallet.com next week, no access to pc now.

elMapache Hello ElMapache. This actually isn't surprising because you aren't the first one to ask me this question. ICONex is no longer the go-to wallet within the ICON Ecosystem, MyICONWallet is. I am having the same problem and had to migrate over to MyICONWallet. For me, it works every now and then, but MyICONWallet, made by ReliantNode always works, I hope this helps!

josephcorey17 thanks for this input. Myiconwallet doesn’t support token transfers though right? Execept ICX itself.

elMapache It does to my knowledge if its IRC2. Similarly to MyEtherWallet, you'd have to type in the credentials of the coin itself.

I stopped using Iconex purely because i dont believe it is going to be supported? I moved to MyIconWallet, love the mobile app, and it is much easier to use with Ledger IMO.

Sure ok, I'll give it a try with using myiconwallet BUT just tried to connect myiconwallet with ledger and it won't connect. See error screen cap bellow. Balanced app works ok with Ledger.

Any tips guys? Still possible something's wrong with my connection since balanced app works fine?

elMapache Try using a different browser that isn't based on Chrome. For example, try to use Firefox.

Matt Ok, It works with firefox but still can't send IRC2 tokens with MIW :/ really hope they fix the connection issue on ICONex. Until then I'm stuck with being unable to move the BALN tokens to balanced wallet account.
