  • Learning How to Rap - Starting and Experiment Journey

I downloaded my first free beats last night and tried my hand at rapping to them.
It actually wasn't that bad.
It was cheesy, yes... however, once I was able to focus on story telling, the words came easier.
There was even a moment of flow.

I shall continue to do this on and off to achieve some mastery. I think it's a fun life-skill that can add value to moments of randomness...

    4 days later

SwayMolina Did I mention that I also saw Vanilla Ice for shits and giggles once his fate was sealed as a has-been? Sometime in 09/10 a dive bar in Fort Myers. Saw Busta Rhymes because for some reason, our student council thought his pop-rap was a good performance for wannabes from LI/NJ. I saw Hammer 04 or 05; he wasn't performing he was chilling at the W Hotel Bar - I bought him a diet coke (I felt bad, the guy lost $30M+ and it wasn't in a shitcoin). Met C-Lo Green @ the Tabernacle asked him for the best place to eat wings in ATL (he said JR Crickets-I beg to differ). Outkast at Music Midtown. Partied with Shock-G at MJQ; went up to Benzino at some party and asked him for a free copy of his DVD in 04 (shut down). Up and Smoke Tour I was in the nosebleeders (no money), so when I had the opportunity to do it up, got floor seats for Jay-Z/Beyonce when they were at Mercedes Benz stadium.

To think this slippery slope started with Fat Boys in 85 (when I was 5) on the Radio, then a couple of hits of Tone Loc and Young MC a few years later. I was hooked. Been a critical audiophile ever since.
Don't hate the player, hate the game.

PSquared Yo that's dope. I grew up listening to Busta Rhymes. I was listening to him two days ago. He sends me back in time. Hammer! Outkast! Dude.

SwayMolina corrections Vanilla Ice is not a "has-been" he is a "never was." I apologize to those in the rap game, whom I may have offended. That was an oversight on my part.
Did someone mention ''apologize?" Straight out Norfolk, VA comes this classic. Put on some Timberlands and reminisce over Timbaland

Afterburner fast forward to the present
