This has been a consistent question that I have been asked since we launched PREPers and it is a completely understandable question. I’d like to give some insight on how and why I choose specific grades for P-Reps.
The first component I look for is their social activity; are they well known in the ICON Community and are people aware of what they’re building? Social media presence is incumbent to expand the word and presence of not only ICON, but your reputation as a P-Rep. Are you active on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram etc., do you have a YouTube channel or a Medium account to educate the public? I also look at the credentials of that specific team and the reputation of the members of the team in the ICON Community. Have they been admins to different channels, how well does the community know them etc.
The second component I look for is d'app development. Have you created any d'apps for ICON and have they been paramount surrounding the success and use-case of the network?
The third component I look for is a finance score; do these P-Reps have the longevity to continuously fund their projects and team; longevity is the key to survival?
The fourth component I look for is reward sharing. Is your team actually building something or are you just blatantly giving airdrips for the sake of voters.
Lastly, I look for exterior connections outside of ICON. In the spirit of interoperability, we need liquid teams that have explored other blockchains and have connections to other chains. These are the primary components I search for when identifying the grade of a P-Rep from a personal standpoint.
