Little known fact, if anyone here has heard of Goldman Sachs (raise your hand), upper management actually encourages failure (notice I did NOT say Mistakes--because nobody at GS makes mistakes---said in the most ironic tone possible 🤣) If you are NOT failing 1) You are not trying anything new, not taking risks and not learning, you are not pushing yourself. Goldman Sachs bankers and traders didn't get to be some of the smartest guys on the Street by being right, its by taking risk and profiting by doing things differently (and being legal bandits).
