Job Description
The Relationship Management roles are responsible for acquiring, orchestrating, and growing entire client and ecosystem relationships; deepening relationships within the C-Suite; consulting on, and cross-selling, the entire SVB platform (i.e. Treasury management to Debt financing to the Private Bank, etc.) to address client business and personal needs; orchestrating cross-functional SVB teams to optimize the client experience; and building real relationships to differentiate SVB with all key influencers in the crypto and Web3 ecosystem. Core responsibilities include active portfolio management, client education during the onboarding process with respect to compliance, building out efficient and scalable onboarding practices internally, and acting as a key thought leader on debt capital solutions.
Responsibilities:
Participate in introductory calls with clients and prospects to understand organization structure, business model(s) and starting the due diligence/information gathering that may be necessary to obtain approval to onboard the new client, and make strategic decisions around client fit for the overall Web3 portfolio.
Active portfolio management with clients to obtain necessary due diligence needed to complete ongoing monitoring reviews.
Responsible for relationship management of commercial bank clients and delivery of core commercial banking products (i.e. debt financing, treasury management, FX, investments, etc) and broader SVB financial services (i.e. private bank, wealth advisory, SVB Analytics, etc).
Provide support to MDs and Directors on strategic relationships, as well as, individually develop relationships with executives, Venture Capitalists, and influencers in the ecosystems
Responsible for new business development and expansion of existing relationships
Focus on SVB's Success Drivers and Corporate Goals thru collaboration with appropriate business units and thru smart risk taking.
Act as a key thought leader in driving the direction and internal policies around engagement with crypto clients and the overall ecosystem.
Qualifications:
3+ years of related experience.
Experience and network in the tech startup ecosystem and specifically Web3, preferably in the NYC Fintech ecosystem.
Strong relationship management, negotiation, and marketing skills.
Good closing skills.
Strong focus and ownership on the overall client experience.
Knowledge of bank operations and products a plus.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
