Crypto is fascinating.
So many different angles people are taking in trying to create value transfer protocols.
For simplicity we'll say Bitcoin first as a means of "Decentralized Money" then Ethereum, then a million brazillian other coins and tokens have popped on the maps and most recently the term "Defi" has been the hot thing.
I want to believe I operate in a principled manner and chose a coin to "invest" in over the past 3 years which would be "ICX" for a number of reasons.
But with respect to this "defi" movement and "Yield Farming" I still haven't come to terms with assessing risk/reward with the opportunities. Things like 1000%+ APY, jerry rigged looking websites, yada yada...
I like ICON $ICX because its
1) the platform which provides the foundation for the services to be on top of and
2) its the network of networks protocol.
3) And it never really tried to be "compete" in the ways others seem to be approaching blockchain development
The way Min and the ICON Foundation have operated throughout the years has given me a higher degree of "Trust" with the products they develop. "Trust" of which I don't have from others. I'd rather wait for an ICON development than dive into everything and be scattered throughout. The story behind Uniswap's emergence and the founder's is pretty interesting but still....
IDK if its a bias or its just internal to my senses telling me to stay away from a lot of products out there regardless of what "the crowd" says.
